Dear Students

On behalf of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering for Women, Pune I heartily welcome you all!

Bharati Vidyapeeth as a parent organization was founded with the vision, “Social transformation through dynamic education.” As women play key roles in social transformation, Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering for Women was established with vision, “Women empowerment through Technical Education.”

The students admitted in the college come from different socio-economic background. They face different challenges. The placement scenario highlighted that students with specific education and family background have more success ratio. The college is focusing on training as well as industry interaction so as to impart knowledge and prepare competent engineers as stated in the mission statement of our college. In order to address these issues the college has signed MoUs with different industrial organizations and professional associations.

The institute has well planned academic schedule, curricular delivery and monitoring. This is reflected in examination results and placements. Research groups in the departments facilitate inculcation of research culture in the departments. The publication data speaks about the commitment of faculty and students towards research.

The college has initiated capacity building program to assist the students to rise to their fullest potential which is also one of our mission statements. The holistic development approach will help us in addressing challenges due to different socio-economic background of students and empower them. To facilitate this process, the college has also signed MoUs with different organizations such as Association of Adolescence and Child Care in India, Word Maya, Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development etc.

As per the new University act, college development committee is constituted. The college is undergoing the process of NAAC accreditation which is Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based. Considering the need of ICT based education, most of the teachers have completed Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ICT conducted by IIT Bombay and successfully implementing the same. The process of building our own college ICT portal is in progress.

Through Strength Weaknesses Opportunities Challenges (SWOC) analysis, we identified that the faculty is the strength of our college. Safety and security of girl students is considered at highest priority. With the support of faculty and students, we will strive for continuing women empowerment.
